Greg A. Livingston, M.Sc., L.Ac., is a licensed Chinese Medicine physician specializing in Chinese Internal Medicine. Dr. Livingston received his Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the
Lindsay Shen is a design historian who has been living in China since February 2007. She grew up in Scotland, and graduated from the University of St. Andrews with an M.A. (1989,) and Ph.D. (1993,) in Art History. After teaching at the University of Wales, she moved to Minnesota, USA, where she worked as the Director of The Goldstein Museum of Design at the University of Minnesota. She joins the China Center as an Adjunct Faculty member, teaching a course on Research Methods and Practice.
Professor Zhan Tianxiang joined the Friends World community soon after the Center moved to Hangzhou in 1989. Professor Zhan first began his employment with us as an adjunct lecturer and from 1991-2004 he was a Faculty Adviser. Currently, as Professor Emeritus he continues to teach courses on traditional Chinese philosophy, the city of Hangzhou as a text for understanding traditional Chinese culture and history, and an engaging seminar on the legacy of Chairman Mao during the Chinese Revolution and the Cultural Revolution, landmark periods in modern Chinese history that he experienced firsthand.
