It is our experience that those students who come with the expectation of engaging in serious language study tend to create the most satisfying personal and academic experiences while in China. Toward this end, we strongly suggest you to begin or continue Mandarin language study now. It is not too early to become familiar with the spoken language through listening to Mandarin tapes or studying with a language tutor, and it is especially important to begin learning the basic phonetic Romanization system called Pinyin.  Read more...
